Letter From the Principal

Our mission at Schmitt Elementary School is “to create self-confident, responsible and independent learners”who are able to tackle the challenges of living in a new century, who are knowledgeable, and who possess the necessary social skills to live fulfilling lives in an ever-changing society. This year our students excel in reading, writing and math. Our children are committed to the Million Word campaign. As they reach various benchmarks toward reading a million words, many students receive awards. This fires up our children to read even more books. Many Schmitt students meet their challenge of reading a million words. It is rewarding to know that our students love to read, write and are becoming life-long learners. The teachers are committed to raising the reading and achievement levels of their students. The parents also monitor closely their children’s progress in reading.
Congratulations Schmitt students, teachers and parents! You are the best! Keep up the excellent habits of reading and learning. Thank you, Annie Dalton
